Cutters for metal from China
Hello everyone! The summer season begins and I try to expand the range of my tools in the garage whenever possible.
Today I want to present you a small set of rotary cutters from China at our plant, they were called cutters for metal processing. I did not have such cutters for metal from China, but in my distant youth I worked at a shipyard as a ship hull locksmith and we have in stock, there were similar tools but only of different sizes. So, my choice of rotary cutters from China was made deliberately with an understanding of what they are for and what they can do.
We have in stock a set of five items. There are no markings on cone cutters from China.
The product has the following characteristics:
- Material: High-speed steel 4241 (analogue of P2M1)
- Hardness: HRC 60-63
- Hex shank size: 6mm
- Shank length: 40mm
- Diameter of the cutting edge (largest part): 12 mm
- Length of cutting edge: 27 mm
- Overall length: 67 mm
The set of rotary cutters of the following shapes (from left to right):
- sphero-cylindrical
- tapered with a pointed end (by the way, not very pointed)
- arched pointed
- cylindrical
- conical inverse taper
Cutters from China have a regular sharpening (SC). The shank has a spring-retaining groove. Before starting to use, I found a little information about the correct modes of operation with the tool. Cutters for metal from China are mainly intended for boring holes and for deburring, descaling after welding, for initial grinding of the work surface, etc. When working, it is not recommended to press too hard on the cutter from China. From strong contact with metal, the rotation speed decreases, and under such a load, the tool overheats. Ultimately, there is a strong wear of the working part of the cone cutter from China. That's basically it. It is not such a complex tool that you can write about in volumes. Who is interested, links to the seller will be at the bottom.
Sentence :
Cutters for metal from China are doing excellently with the tasks set. You can say that all this can be done with a grinder and I agree with you, but how will you get into the hole with a grinder? How do you use a grinder to process the surface inside the channel, corner? Tools are invented by people who work directly with them. So, that each tool is intended for its own purposes and I would not recommend using it for other purposes.
Have a nice day, goodness and dough, everyone. Happy and useful shopping.
