Trade Assurance from Alibaba.com
What is Trade Guarantee on Alibaba, how to use it, and what is it for, Trade Guarantee limit.
What is Trade Assurance?
Trade Assurance is a built-in free service from Alibaba, which helps to build honest relationships between the supplier and the buyer of the goods without mutual deception. Trade Assurance is valid for all transactions that are made with suppliers participating in this program. The guarantee allows you to fully or partially reimburse the buyer in case of violation of the terms of the transaction by the seller of Alibaba. The trade guarantee is valid if:
- The goods were not sent to the buyer on time according to the contract with the supplier
- The quality of the product does not meet the standards specified in the contract with the supplier
How to buy a product that has a Trade Assurance?
- Make sure the supplier supports the terms of the Trade Assurance.
- Check how much of the Trade Assurance limit remains with the supplier. Make sure the vendor's Trade Assurance limit is sufficient to cover your order.
- Write down in detail and clearly the terms of reference for the goods produced for you. When placing your order, indicate the shipping date and confirm with the supplier. If you want product quality protection, choose pre-shipment or post-delivery protection, and make sure the quality requirements are outlined in the contract. Quality requirements should be measurable and detailed.
- Make payments only through the Alibaba website or the details indicated on the supplier's mini-site.
- Place orders online through Alibaba.com with vendors that provide a Trade Assurance. Note the presence of the Trade Assurance icon.
What is the Trade Assurance limit? How is it calculated?
The Trade Assurance Limit is assigned to suppliers and manufacturers of Alibaba.com who have agreed to join the Trade Assurance program and have committed to comply with the requirements of this service. Alibaba.com sets the limit on its own based on the qualifications of the supplier and the volume of transactions over the past year. The limit can be used to protect transactions with buyers.
The limit is the amount of money by which all supplier orders are protected. This does not mean that your order will be protected by this entire amount. Your order will be protected by the remaining amount of the Trade Assurance limit, but not exceeding the amount of the original payment.
What types of orders are covered by the Trade Assurance? What orders does it not apply to?
- The Trade Assurance applies to orders that meet the following conditions:
- The order has been placed with a vendor participating in the Trade Assurance program.
- Orders are placed online at Alibaba.com
- Payment was made using the vendor's bank details on Alibaba.com.
