How to avoid scammers on Ali Baba's site?

Let's take a look at common cases of fraud by sellers of Alibaba store and how to avoid them.

Fake Gold Supplier. Fraudulent sellers on the Alibaba platform often pretend to be representatives of real companies in order to deceive buyers and gain confidence in them.

Ask the supplier for their mini site address on Alibaba.com. Search for the name of his company in a regular search engine (Google or Yandex) and compare the data found with the information posted on Alibaba.com. It's just that any supplier can get gold seller status for money, but this does not guarantee your safety and the seller's honesty.

Always use the free Trade Assurance or Secure Payment services when making transactions. In this case, if a dispute arises, Alibaba.com will participate to resolve the conflict.

Luring with low prices. Some vendors offer notoriously low prices to attract buyers and stand out from other sellers. After receiving the advance payment, they begin to extort, under any pretext, trying to understand the final cost of the order.

Don't be naive! If the offered price is much lower than the market average (in comparison with other sellers), then, most likely, this is a deception or simply not reliable data. In such cases, it is not advisable to make a full advance payment without first consulting Alibaba's supplier.

After placing an order, they start demanding more money: a fraudulent supplier will always find a reason to squeeze more money out of you than originally agreed!

After the advance payment, under any invented pretext, the scammers try to change the final order amount upwards and ask you to transfer additional funds, usually bypassing Alibaba's customer protection system. Trying to promote you to order more goods than previously agreed, and so on.

In such cases, you should not make advance payments and be persuaded by the fraudulent seller. Make all payments only through the Alibaba platform. If the manufacturer turns out to be a fraudster, Alibaba will only come to your defense if all payments went through their system.

Receipt of defective goods or goods of inadequate quality.

Conduct detailed due diligence of the company prior to commencing a trade. It is best to inspect the goods at a third party location, such as a customs warehouse. This can be done with the help of independent experts from Alibaba. Although the service is paid, it can save a lot of money in case of cheating by suppliers.

Ask him for a written guarantee that the products you order will be of the same quality as the samples you received. Such a guarantee will be reliable evidence if you have to ask for a refund or file charges against the company.

The fraudulent seller does not ship the item. After the conclusion of the transaction, you paid partially or completely for the order, and the supplier did not send you the goods within the agreed time frame.

This is much easier for you. If the deal was made through the Alibaba trading platform, don't worry. After the deadline for the completion of the order has passed and it has not been shipped, the money will be refunded to you in full.
