Does Alibaba.com provide guarantees for my payment?

When searching for suppliers of goods on Alibaba.com, orders (tenders) can be placed in two ways: online, using the website and offline, by contacting sellers directly, bypassing the Alibaba system.

All orders must be placed online only to qualify for the Buyer Protection Program. In this case, the staff of the Alibaba Marketplace will be able to help you track your order and provide a refund in case of a dispute.

When placing an order online, you can use the Trade Assurance or the Secure Payment services:

• Trade Assurance protects buyers on com by providing 100% payment protection with selected vendors who work with Trade Assurance.
• Secure Payment protects your payment until you confirm receipt of the goods.

When dealing with unknown suppliers, be careful with wire transfers that cannot be traced. This carries high risks and can be exploited for fraudulent transactions.
